From a departure point of the Steubenville Fort Steuben Visitor Center you will travel South on St. Rt. #7 to the Public Road Exit toward Yorkville.
- Turn right onto County Road 2/County Hwy-2.
- Turn Right onto Rayland Rd./County Hwy -2 /County Hwy 1.
- Then turn Left onto County Road 1/ County Hwy – 1;
- keep left at the fork to continue on County Rd. 1, County Hwy. 1
- Take the 1st right to stay on County Road 1/County Hwy-1.
- Turn left to stay on County Road 1/County Hwy-1.
- Turn slight right onto Union St/OH-647. (Union Street is just past Main Street)
Welcome to the Village of Mt. Pleasant and Quaker Yearly Meeting House State Memorial.
The village was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Department of Interior in 1974 and in 2005 was designated as a National Historic Landmark District of the Underground Railroad. Century old homes line the street.The Historical Society of Mount Pleasant owns five and operates six museums in the village. Tours are available by appointment from April – October. From historic Mount Pleasant travel West on State Rt. 150 for 2.6 miles to arrive at The Farm Restaurant & Pub (1247 OH 150, Adena) for a delicious home-cooked meal at this very pleasant country-style restaurant set in the picturesque hills of the Ohio Valley. Turn left onto St. Rt. 250 East and arrive at (on left side of road) Black Sheep Vineyard, a quaint little family-owned vineyard on a former sheep farm. Once an historic peg and beam barn, this charming lofted tasting room with exceptional ambience serves site-grown wines, breads, cheeses and other accompaniments. There is also live entertainment at given times. Wine can be purchased by the glass or bottle. 10% discount on a case of wine. Gift baskets can be made.
