FIRST FRIDAY ON FOURTH: 2019 – September Theme is ‘Irish Fest’

September 6, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

September is halfway to  St. Patrick’s Day so this month is a good ole’ fashioned Celtic Irish Fest! Wear your kilt (or at least that free Guinness shirt from college bar days…), bring your bagpipes, and join in for a right good craic! Here’s the line-up for the night:

Local musicians will be leading an all night jam session on the 2nd floor of Leonardo’s Coffeehouse & Renaissance Coffee Roasting Co., so be sure to bring your instruments and join the ruckus!

As usual, local craft breweries Hightower Brewing Company and Dungeon Hollow Brewing will keep us well supplied with beer throughout the night, AND we’ll have Ohio wine from Black Sheep Vineyard!

All of your favorite food vendors, like Desperado Dogs and Tacos Juarez will be present with some special Celtic/Irish inspired menu offerings!

Once again, many of the downtown shops will be open for late night shopping and  the streets will be lined with artisan and craft vendors, so make sure you take some time to check out what our local entrepreneurs have to offer!

KidZone will be well stocked with chalk, window markers, and other weapons for creative masterpieces!

There will also be Ben-David Warner, who is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter with roots in Celtic, Classical, and Folk music. For four years he was a member of the Celtic Americana Band Scythian, which Nashville’s Music City Roots says is “what happens when rock star charisma meets Celtic dervish fiddling.” Trained on the classical violin, Ben-David plays the guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin. Ed Helms’s The Bluegrass Situation praises his new Scythian song “Built These Walls” as a “blue-collar ballad we can all get behind.” He recorded his debut solo album Red Rockin’ Chair in 2015.
