2016 Summer Concert Series presented by Historic Fort Steuben – Celebrating 10 years!

Since 2007, the Louis and Sandra Berkman Amphitheater in Fort Steuben Park has welcomed dozens of entertainers and thousands of music lovers. For eleven weeks each summer, Thursday evenings find an eclectic gathering of people at the site along the Ohio River. From teens to “seasoned citizens,” families and singles, residents of nursing homes and day care centers…all enjoy the melodies of various genres. Bluegrass, funk, rhythm & blues, classic country, oldies, pop, gospel, jazz, ethnic, rock’n’roll…there’s been something for every taste. And if you don’t care for the performers, you can just sit and visit with friends.

This season marks the tenth anniversary with a lineup of many popular, familiar groups as well as some not so familiar ones, commemorative T-Shirts and more.  Also new this year are vendor booths with a variety of items for sale which will open at 4:00 p.m. and remain open during the concert.

The 2016 concerts will kick-off Thursday, May 26th, at 6:30p.m. with  the talented local performers of Three’s Company opening for the classic oldies of the world famous Vogues.

Historic Fort Steuben is grateful to the many sponsors who make these free concerts possible and encourage their audience to patronize the businesses and thank the organizations listed in the program.  The concerts are just one indication that Historic Fort Steuben has become an important contributor to the quality of life in Steubenville and the upper Ohio Valley. Please consider becoming a member and helping them to continue offering music, history and educational programming for the next ten years!

The concerts will be held every Thursday evening at 6:30p.m. from May 26th through August 4th at the Louis Berkman Amphitheater located in Fort Steuben Park, 120 S. Third Street, Steubenville.   (Weather permitting)

As always, there is no admission charge for the concerts, however, buckets will be passed for free will donations.

Concert Programs will be handed out at the concerts and are also available at the Fort Steuben Visitor Center.

Nursing homes or other groups needing wheel chair accommodations are requested to call the Visitor Center the day of the concert to make reservations.

For inquiries, wheel chair reservations, or to check on weather related cancellations, please call: 740.283.1787.
