Michele Fabbro will take you on a virtual journey to Egypt, a nation of biblical proportions and epic history.Hear fascinating stories of the ancient world and gain an understanding of life in Egypt today. A PowerPoint presentation will include photos/video clips from Michele’s trip to Medieval mosques, the gargantuan pyramids of Giza, Karnak and Luxor temples, and the Valley of the Kings, including the tomb of King Tut. Your virtual trip will also include the unique creations of alabaster, essence oils, handblown glass, cotton weaving, and carpet-making. The first of four 2022 Lecture Series. Topic- "The Story of Mary Wells". It begins with two young Castleman sisters taken by Indians at the mouth of Croxton's Run in 1791. The younger sister Margaret was sold as a slave to a trapper. The older sister Mary was married to a half Indian Chief named Isaac Williams who became a drunkard and threatened to hurt her. Mary left her two Indian children, a boy and a girl and found her way back to Holiday's Cove to her parents. That's not the end of the story...
