A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, “to write” or “to inscribe”, as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. Learn the history of this Easter egg folk art and try your hand at writing a Pysanky Egg! All eggs and supplies are provided, as well as a few kits for purchase.
There are two classes available – one begins at 9AM and the second will begin at 2PM. Be sure to set aside 2-4 hours of your day, as these eggs can take a while to create!
