Dan Merritt is a New Orleans native and professional musician, and he’s starting up a Big Band in Steubenville: The Steubenville Big Band will teach junior-high-schoolers, high-schoolers, and high-school graduates the art of jazz music, readying them to perform for swing dances, street dances, First Fridays — wherever Steubenville needs great music.

You can pay for this brunch by purchasing a $25 ticket OR can get TWO tickets by donating whatever trumpet, clarinet, or trombone is gathering dust in your attic or mildew in your basement.
The Stetson Food Company, of Desperado Dogs fame, will be supplying the brunch: Apricot French Toast, Sausage, Bacon, Scrambled Eggs and a special New Orleans Breakfast Potato.
Local trumpeter Matt Hill will providing the music — more jazz to be announced.
The Jazz Brunch will take place rain or shine at the top of the Marina, under the shelters.
