The Mingo Business Association is proud to honor the hardest working sheriff in the Ohio Valley, with a special dinner for Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla. Association President Jim Freiling said, “It is time for our organization to recognize the Sheriff for his 33 years of service and dedication to making Jefferson County a safe place to live.” In addition to wearing his Sheriff’s badge, Abdalla has also served as Mayor of the village of Stratton, a Mayor’s Court judge and proudly defended the United States during the Vietnam War, earning several citations and medals.

This testimonial dinner will be held on Sunday, September 8th at the Mingo Junction Knights of Columbus Hall. Doors will open at 5 pm, with dinner served at 6 pm. Tickets are $40 per person and $20 for first responders and military veterans and their spouses. Your ticket includes a gourmet dinner and a lively and loving roast of Sheriff Abdalla.

The venue is arranged for open seating, but group tables for 8 to10 people are available if reserved prior. Call Freiling at 740-317-1963 to arrange for group tables, or if you or your business would like to be among the event sponsors. Sponsors will be acknowledged in the official program and all proceeds after expenses will be donated to the local Salvation Army chapter, also in the Sheriff’s honor.

This event is open to everyone. Sheriff Abdalla has touched so many lives. Please join us in recognizing this Ohio Valley hero.
