Another busy weekend coming up!

Here are some really fun events coming up this weekend!

 

21st Annual Thunder in the Ville Fireworks Festival  on June 23 – June 24 at Indian Creek High School 200 Park Drive, Wintersville

On Friday, June 23rd, Gates open at 4pm, with Opening Ceremonies at 6pm

5pm-6pm:  Main Street Dance; 6pm-7pm: Friends; 7pm-8:30pm: Brenda Casey; 9pm-11pm: Buffington Brothers

On Saturday, June 24th, Gates open at 12pm (noon)

Cruise -In   Registration 2pm-4pm with Cruise-in 4pm-8pm; 3pm-4:30pm:  Roz & Lynn; 6pm:  Opening Ceremonies; 6:30pm-8pm:  Buffington Brothers; 8:30pm-10pm:  New Silver Eagle Band;  10pm:   Fire Works

With Food Vendors; Kids Games and Train Rides both days.

 

Juneteenth Festival on June 23rd and June 24th from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm at the Second Baptist Church, 717 Adams Street, Steubenvnille

Juneteenth observes “the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States”.

Great food, guest speakers, music entertainment and vendors.  Fun with line dancing, Zumba, face painting, moon bounce and more.

 

Adventure Day at the Carnival sponsored by Head Start on June 23rd, at St. Anthony’s Head Start, 243 S. 7th Street, Steubenville

Sand table; Knock Down the Bottles; Nails; Tatoos;  Bird Feeders out of pine cones and peanut butter;  Ribbon Wand Making; Decoder Game; Planting Flowers.

FUN & PRIZES!

Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Popsicles, and Water provided.

United Fore Golf benefiting the American Red Cross and United Way of Jefferson County on June 25, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, at Spring Hills Golf Course, East Springfield

Registration: 7:30am; Shot Gun Start: 8:30am

Four person Scramble with Team – Skins and Mulligans

A day of fun and good times with friends or co-workers.  Team fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, snacks, meal and beverages.

THURSDAY’S DEAN MARTIN TRIBUTE SHOW MOVED TO STEUBENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

Due to threatening weather the Dean Martin Tribute Show which was to take place at the Berkman Amphitheater has been moved to Steubenville High School Auditorium, 420 N. 4th Street.  Concert time remains at 6:30pm.

Three Festivals in One Week!

In less than a week downtown Steubenville will be bustling with visitors and residents alike enjoying the festivities of several annual celebrations.

Beginning on June 13th with the 2017 Annual Holy Trinity Greek Festival (300 South Fourth Street) featuring authentic Greek Food & Pastry, Live Music and Dance, Guided Church Tours, Outdoor Taverna, and carry-out service.  The Festival runs from Tuesday, the 13th, through Friday, June 16th and is open daily from 11am to 9pm.

The Annual Dean Martin Festival kicks off on Thursday, June 15th and runs through Sunday the 18th, with numerous activities and shows including the Dean Martin Tribute Show at the Fort Steuben Berkman Amphitheater at 6:30pm on June 15th and a Singing Contest later that evening at 9:00pm at the Spot Bar.

On Friday, June 16th there will be a Meet & Greet and Silent Auction at Best Western Plus at The New Franciscan Square from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by the Dean Martin’s 100th Birthday Party at The Spot Bar at 8:00pm, admission is $10.

Saturday, June 17th, brings events all day including the Dean Martin 100th Birthday Show (Admission $10) at Steubenville High School Auditorium at 4:00pm and a 7:00pm Dean Martin Celebration (Admission $10) at The Spot Bar; as well as the Dean Martin Hometown Celebration which includes the Dean Martin Birthday Parade at Noon, Meet and Greet following the parade at Fort Steuben Visitor Center; a 5K run and walk;  a street fair with food and craft vendors and informational booths; free mini train rides; trolley tours to Jefferson County Historical Museum, St. Paul’s Church, First Christian Church, Drosselmeyer’s Nutcracker Shoppe, Steubenville Popcorn Co., and the Grand Theater; Kurt James Fun n Games; live entertainment at the Fort Steuben Park Fountain; games for youth; petting zoo; face painting; a Dance-a-thon; a 50’s Dance; Trivia Booth; wonderful food from seven different vendors and so much more!
