Tax Filing Assistance
to be provided by Franciscan University of Steubenville
From February 17 to April 1, students will offer free e-filing assistance to local Ohio Valley tax filers at a help site located at Center Court next to AT&T in the Fort Steuben Mall.
The students have completed an income tax course and passed an IRS training course through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA).
Students will prepare forms 1040EZ, 1040A, 1040 schedules A, B, and D, and forms for calculating education, dependent care, and earned-income credits. The free assistance is available to taxpayers with an income up to $52,000.00.
The tax assistance site will be open on Tuesdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm;
Wednesdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm;
Thursdays from 12:00pm to 3:30pm AND 4:00pm to 6:00pm;
Fridays from 10:00am to 2:00pm; and
Saturdays from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
The site will be closed from March 7 to March 16 for spring break and
from April 3 to April 6 for Easter break.

The Easter Bunny is brining 4000 prize and candy filled eggs.
Local children ages 2 - 12 are invited to participate in the Community Easter
Egg Hunt to be held at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center on
Saturday, April 4th at 11:00AM.
Some of the eggs will contain slips for various prizes including bikes, soccer balls
The egg hunt is free and open to the public.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL

FREE one day event at Belleview Park for boys and girls ages 7-14.
PHR is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball.
Girls will compete in a softball division and boys will compete in a baseball division.

TODDLER TIME THURSDAYS
Every third Thursday of the month a different theme will teach toddlers about various holidays, animals and other themes with craft and story time. WINTER Wii WEDNESDAYS
On the third Wednesday of each month children and Parks & Recreation staff will compete in Winter Wii Wednesdays.
Each month a different sport or game will be featured.
