Toronto Ghost Walk

June 28, 2017 @ 7:00 pm

Who says Ghosts are “Spooky”!  The Historical Society of Toronto is gearing up for its second season of bringing to life former Toronto citizens and the true stories they have to tell, or maybe never got to tell, when they hold their Ghost Walks, set for June 28, July 26 and Aug 23.

Each evening will feature two tours, beginning at 7 pm and 7:30 pm.  Price of the tickets is $10 per person and can be purchased at the Toronto High School Alumni Office, Clarke Funeral Home, and the Main Street Museum. Tickets are only sold in advance.  All tours meet at the gazebo in the commons area and the tours are limited to 30 persons per walk.

The tours focus on the unknown history of the city’s past.  Actors will relate true stories of past events in the lives of the person they are portraying.  What part did Donuts play or Cocky John?  Who witnessed a young girl’s murder and saw the gunman run away?  Has anyone seen Clarence Peck with a front page story about one of our finest?  These and many other stories will be related by more than twenty characters this year.

Also playing a prominent role will be buildings, like Noonan’s Drug Store, Youth Harbor, Churches, an Opera House and many others.

Tickets also can be purchased by calling Carolyn Walker at (740) 537-2157 or Shirley Riggleman at (740) 537-4915.  All proceeds benefit the Main Street Museum.
