Franciscan University presents ‘The Crucible’

April 13, 2018 @ 7:00 pm

Franciscan University of Steubenville will travel back in time to Salem, Massachusetts, 1692, with a performance of The Crucible by Arthur Miller.

The Crucible is a modern tragedy based on the actual witch trials of 1692. When a group of young girls begins to accuse members of the community of practicing witchcraft, many innocent men and women are hanged. This play is a story of group hysteria and communal culpability and challenges the audience to contemplate injustices that result from an abuse of power and the courage needed to speak the truth.

The Crucible is directed by Dr. Monica Anderson, chair of the Fine Arts Department.

Tickets:  $4 for adults; $2 Students & Seniors.  Admission is free for clergy, religious, and children ages 12 and under.

Tickets are on sale at the door or reserved by calling 740.283.6345
